How to Open AI or EPS Vector Files in Photoshop
Open Photoshop, then go to File > Open and select your vector file (AI or EPS).
For these vector format files, Photoshop will ask you to input a file size. This step is very important because Photoshop will open the file as raster, not as vector.
Input a large size for your image; then you can scale it down without losing quality. You get to choose the Width and Height, the Resolution (72 dpi for web or 300 dpi for print) and Color Mode (RGB for web or CMYK for print).
