When you say Metal you think of iron, copper, steel. Beside those basic metals there are so called precious metals such as gold, silver, platinum. In today's article I will focus on all kinds of metal textures like grunge, dirty, rusty, painted, scratched old or new metal textures. Another texture that is really used by digital artists is for sure the old paper. I like to use old paper because I can achieve that mysterious, vintage look in my photo manipulations. Coming in all different colors and textures, the paper is indeed beautiful and the older it is, the better. I stumbled upon Mattijn Franssen's photo manipulations while browsing through Flickr. I was very impressed by his technique and style and decided to take him an interview. I like that Mattijn's art works tell a story. He takes a concept or a feeling and he transpose it visually so perfect with so much character!
